Worship at First Presbyterian Church follows in the Reformed tradition, engaging the soul and the spirit through scripture and song, silence and prayer. We gather, each week, eager for inspiration, connection and commissioning in Christ’s name. Whether it is through a powerful word or grace-filled music, everything in our worship is aimed toward the ultimate goal of praising God and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ in word and in deed.
Each week, we worship together on Sunday morning at 11 am.
During the season of Lent, special opportunities for prayer and spiritual growth are offered. During Advent, we worship together through special music offerings, Christmas pageants, and candlelight services. Each fall, we offer a Blessing of the Animals. During times of violence and crisis, we gather to worship God through tears and prayer, At the end of each worship service, we are commissioned to go out into God’s world and serve in Christ’s name. The ministries we offer represent how we are commissioned by God to serve in this city and around the world. We offer opportunities for children and youth, adults and parents. We gather for fellowship and study, service and prayer. We come alongside one another at the start of life and at its earthly end.
Here in this place, our worship is embodied with our hearts, minds, feet and hands.
